For my portfolio, I wanted to make an animation- and game-ready realistic character from scratch. Here's the final result!
This project was produced over the course of 14 weeks half-time.
It was my first time doing a lot of things frankly, such as creating hair using hair cards and making clothes with Marvelous. I definitely learned a lot but feel that I've only scratched the surface. I'm really excited for when I work on a character next, being able to apply all that I've learned but reach the standard that I want to, and without the stress of only having roughly 7 weeks. I especially want to explore making hairstyles more, because even while pressed for time, I really enjoyed it.
I want to give a huge thanks to my mentor, Amanda Westerdahl (artstation.com/amandawesterdahl) from Sharkmob, who has been my rock and helped me throughout my portfolio :)
I also want to thank Philip Anderson, who I've collaborated with, for breathing life into this character by rigging, posing, and animating her!
More renders and breakdowns coming soon!
